Lucy Pollard Pilates
Background
My training has taken me in lots of unexpected directions including teaching aerobics and body conditioning, as well as Biomechanics, Gut Health, the Breath, and Nutrition. However, once I started learning about and practising Pilates, and subsequently Fitness Pilates, I found that it had not only helped solve my back problems, but that its theories influenced all my other teaching, as well as how I moved and carried out my own daily life. I now exclusively teach Pilates, from both a fitness and a rehab point of view.
My Fitness Pilates sessions are the natural evolution of this exercise form as they combine the dynamic moves required to really improve fitness with the traditional moves and principles that Joseph Pilates created at the beginning of the 20th Century.
Over the past twelve years I have expanded my knowledge by studying biomechanics both extrinsic and intrinsic, and specialising in Back Care. I have gained advanced qualifications with Faster Health and Fitness, Premier Training, Choreography to Go, and I Move Freely, some of the best training companies in the fitness world. I have also read and researched extensively the subjects of Gut Health, the Breath, healthy eating, and pelvic floor health.
